Learning isn’t restricted to the school campus. Each year students in grades 2-12 participate in Week without Walls during which students travel to locations within Tianjin and throughout greater China and parts of east Asia. Middle and high school students spend a week in another area, experiencing regional culture and food, learning to work effectively as a team, undergoing physical challenges, developing problem-solving skills and an understanding of social and economic issues, and providing service to local schools and communities. Students in grades 3-5 remain in Tianjin for a shorter experience, and students in grade 2 camp out in a tent for a night in our on-campus forest. Week without Walls is a fun but important part of the overall learning experience that extends classroom learning to the real world.
