About TIS
- We provide a holistic, age-appropriate educational program to students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. In addition to our rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum, we provide specialized English language support as well as support for diverse learners. Our students develop strong character, a heart for service, and experience authentic leadership through our wide range of extracurricular and athletic opportunties. Graduates of our school attend world-class universities of their choice.
Academics
- Our student-centered program provides challenging and relevant learning experiences and develops essential skills like analytical thinking, problem-solving, empathy and an appreciation for the diversity inherent in our learning community. Our academic curriculum is based on internationally-recognized learning standards developed by the U.S. State Department Office of Overseas Schools and other research-based educational organizations. Integrated into our academic curriculum is our social-emotional framework, based on the Positive Discipline model, that teaches critical life skills and empowers students to make, and own, constructive decisions. English language learners receive additional support from specially trained teachers to ensure they can take advantage of all learning opportunities. Students with mild learning and social-emotional needs receive support from our specialized staff. At all levels, our approach to learning celebrates academic effort, connectedness with others, and preparation for success in the global setting.

Experiential learning allows students to broaden and discover their interests and talents and to develop the skills needed for future success. TIS students are exposed to a variety of active and creative experiences that challenge and support them as they learn about themselves and develop and appreciate the importance of working and achieving with others.
Admissions
- Deciding on a school for your child is a big decision. We invite families to visit and learn about our program at anytime throughout the year. Our Admissions team would be happy to show you around our school and discuss how our program can meet your child's learning needs. Students coming from outside of the area may begin at anytime during the school year - itis not necessary to wait until a scheduled break to start.
